I am a Toronto based professional photographer. In my business, I mainly shoot theatre, events, and headshots. However, I am extremely passionate about travel, nature and landscapes, and I spend most of my free time traveling to capture that next great moment.
My love of photography stems from my obsession with time. Whether it is real or a human construction, one thing we know for sure is that time's arrow affects us all; no one is immune. In the seeming blink of an eye, we transform from children ready to embark on a journey into the world, to adults, parents, grandparents, each carrying a trunk full of memories. Time is constant, strange, and relentless.
After losing both my parents in a short window of time, I became driven to try and find a way to circumvent the fleeting nature of time and preserve the emotion of individual moments. Each image captured on my camera sensor represents a unique journey—a lifetime of thoughts and memories. From the heart-pounding vistas of Scotland that echo ancient myths and cultures, to a tender moment between a mother gorilla and her baby, there are emotional journeys everywhere. My mission as a photographer is to present the viewer with the same emotions through the final image that I felt in the moment of its capture. I believe that a photograph is more than just a click of a button; it truly is a way for us to stop time. I hope you enjoy my work, and maybe find a perfect image to adorn that space on the wall that is missing that special something you can’t put your finger on.
